Respected and Dear Partners, It gives us immense pleasure to inform, that we, Partners of KARWAR, are celebrating "Artificers Night- 2008" with Families at "HIDDEN VALLEY RESORT" in KARWAR (it is just 1.5km drive from karwar city, very near to Railway station) on 06 Dec 08. The celebration will commence at 1630 hrs. I, CA Rao from A-103 Class, on behalf of all partners of Karwar would like to take this opportunity to invite all Partners on this occasion, who are in and around Karwar or any partner who can join us for the 'Artificer Night' with or without family. SIXTH PAY COMMISSION FOR DEFENSE PENSIONERS – AN ILLUSTRATION Consolidated Pension adj. w.e.f 01.01.06 wud be as:- (A) Basic Pen as on 01.01.06 (Excluding Commutation i.e 45% of B/pension) (B) Dearness pension i.e. 50% of B/pen (C) Dearness Relief 24% as on 01.01.06 (D) 40% of B/pen as fitment benefit (E) commuted pen Monthly pen.= A+B+C+D- E ( A+B+C+D equals to B/pen X 1.86) D.R as on 01.01.06- Nil 01.07.06- 2% on Consolidated Pen. 01.01.07- 6% 01.07.07- 9% 01.01.08- 12% 01.07.08- 16% Well, my monthly due pen as on 01.01.06 calculates to- 6444- (A) 3560 (B) 1780 (C) 1282 (24% DR as on 1.1.06) (D) 1424 (40% of 3560) (E) 1602 So, guys-, for 3560- group, New Basic pen w.e.f 01.01.06= 8046 01.07.06= 8207 01.01.07=8529 01.07.07= 8771 01.01.08= 9012 01.07.08= 9334 (Pl. deduct ur commutation for monthly entitlement of pen.) DA rates already paid are- 1.1.06- 24% 1.7.06- 29% 1.1.07- 35% 1.7.07- 41% 1.1.08- 47% 1.7.08- (New pay system becomes applicabe) Note- 40% of arrears to be paid in 08-09 and bal 60% in 09-10 Arrears for 3560- group works out to- 43266- approx. NEWS LETTER- JULY 2008 The Executive committee is glad to inform you that the Association’s General Body meeting was conducted on 8^th June. The detailed minutes of the meeting is available on our web site “www.exnawa.org”. RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP During AGM it was pointed out that, lot many members defaulted the remittance of their membership fee. So it was decided to collect one time payment for life membership fee of Rs 2500/- from those who have out standing dues. CONTINGENCY FUNDS We are indeed happy to inform you that there was a good response from our Partners towards contribution to the Contingency fund. Committee had visited many families and extended helping hands to most needy children and could contribute to one of the Partners who were seriously ill at Vizag. Committee has decided to give financial help from the fund to needy partners if a written request is received and the committee is convinced on the reasoning. Committee hereby appeal to all partners to donate generously to the contingency fund so that we can help our needy brother Partners and their Families. HELP DESK Committee has discussed the possibility of starting a help desk for various services to members. Your views and comments on the subject are welcome. ZONAL MEETING Decided to conduct a zonal meeting of EXNAWA at Calicut.
