Dear Partners,
Hurrah !!! for Team Amritsar for high Jacking EXAM 2010 to Amritsar, where they are going to create the best days of “2010” and I have the proud privilege of inviting all partners to join the great occasion of meeting together along with the families, for few days to refresh the memories of our days in Navy, specially the time we have spent as Artificer Apprentices. We hope that a large number of participants will join, as we have arranged enough accommodation along with visit to places of tourist interest during the meet.
Some of the factors considered while deciding the venue, are the best of the facilities within a reasonable budget for the ever swelling number, a fine ambiance, and a convenient travel approach. Keeping all this in mind, numbers of locations were explored and AMRITSAR became the unanimous choice for EXAM -2010
Our colleagues at Amritsar have explored all possible venues having sufficient accommodation and infrastructure to take care of this factor. After due deliberations, discussions and visits to various Hotels/Resorts in Amritsar and other places in neighborhood, we have pleasure to announce holding EXAM 2010 at AMRITSAR from 11.11.2010 - Thursday morning to 14.11.2010 - Sunday (after breakfast).
Punjab, Punjabis and its culture needs no introduction, it is vibrant and colorful and Amritsar, which translates as The Pool Of The Nectar Of Immortality, the home to Golden Temple, Durgiana Mandir, Jallihanwala bagh. Wow…. AMRITSAR is also popular for its food. Overweight/high cholesterol/fat and similar words are banned in this city… Oh I forgot… It is out of bounds… Now you understand it better.
Main features of EXAM 2010 are as under:-
1 Twin sharing air conditioned accommodation in Hotels namely:- Best Western (Merrion), Alstonia, Clark’s Inn, Comfort Inn(GSK) and Hotel Surya . All hotels are located within a radius of 1.5 to 2 KMs. Evening get together will be at Kumar International (not a hotel but banquet venue) except second day when we will enjoy the evening at Rainbow Resort on our way back from Wagha Border. A Real Fun Point.
2 Accommodation will be allotted on first come first serve basis with confirmed payment. You may send your choice of Hotel and also other Partners/ Families to whom you wish to keep together. Morning breakfast will be served at respective Hotels.
3 First day simple buffet lunch will be served in respective Hotels
4 You will be visiting Golden Temple (Harmandir Saheb), Jalliahanwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple,
Ram Tirth Mandir and other country side locations
5. How about seeing beating Retreat at Waghah Border, where 7 feet tall Indian and Pakistani
Soldiers participate in the change of guard, it will be a treat to eyes
6 Evening get together will be at the Banquet Palace - Kumar International and Rainbow Resort.
7 All Hotels have Swimming Pools.
8 Enjoy hot Tea/Coffee in the cozy comforts of your rooms as Hot Pots are provided
9 Liquor and Beer will be served on payment.
You will be happy to learn that we have signed the Memorandum of Understanding with these Hotels, Banquet Palace and Transport service providers for EXAM 2010 and have made necessary advances as our commitment. This is done to avoid disappointment of not getting large number of rooms in these Hotels because of peak season.

During the month of November, Amritsar start inching towards winter with temperature ranging from 15–25 Degree Celsius, hence light woolens will make you feel cozy, however during the day cap and sunglasses are suggested. Amritsar is well connected by Rail from all parts of India. Air Port is also located on the outskirts of city on Ajnala Road. Pick up and drop from the Airport and Railway Stations will be arranged for reasonably large groups with prior information of date and time of arrival/ departures. Individual and small groups are requested to make their own arrangements .Be informed your hotels allocation before arrival By calling local committee.

This data will be published in Souvenir/ directory of EXAM 2010 and also for our records, which help us to keep in touch with you from time to time. If there is no change in the information published in Souvenir Exam 2009, you need not submit a fresh data.

In case you wish to high light your company, product or achievements or simple desire to convey good wishes for EXAM 2010, kindly forward the necessary information along with the payment. RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP
It is observed and pointed out during the AGM that many of our partners defaulted their membership fee and the due amount mounts to Rs.123250/- as of date. Such lapses are of great concern for the function of the association. Hence it is decided to collect amount by online payment for life membership fee of Rs.2500/- for those who have outstanding dues. CONTINGENCY FUNDS
We inform you all that there was good response from all Partners towards contribution to the contingency fund. AGM proposed to collect maximum amount for the contingency fund and decided to collect Rs 100/- per month from willing members and to arrange this through bank allotment. AGM decided to send willingness form to all members. The AGM approved up to a maximum of Rs 5000/- as educational grant to needy child of our active members and also authorized the Executive Committee to study each cases to its merit and amount ranging from Rs 3000/- to Rs 5000/- to be granted subjected to fund availability at that time. This year EXNAWA granted as educational grant of Rs 5000/- to a child of our member and Rs 5000/- as welfare grant to a much needed elderly Partner.
HELP DESK
EXNAWA decided to start a Data Bank for the benefit of retiring Artificers and Job seekers. Many agencies intimate their requirements to EXNAWA/CAMCO (A Ltd Company owned by Artificers) for technical manpower supply. So all job seakers are advised to register their name with EXNAWA, Kochi along with their C.Vs.
APPRECIATION
AGM appreciated the Executive Committee for occasional house visit of elderly partners and other members who were in distress.
EXAM 2009
The Ex-Artificers Meet (EXAM) 2009 is scheduled at Chennai from 10- 13 Sept. The organizers expect a great gathering. Around 250 families are expected to attend from all over India.
